March 24, 1909
Clyde Chestnut Barrow is born in Teleco, Texas.
October 1, 1910
Bonnie Elizabeth Parker is born in Rowena, Texas.
1914
The Parker family relocates to West Dallas, Texas.
1915
Charles Parker, Bonnie's father, dies suddenly.
1921
Because of hard times and the Dustbowl, the Barrow family, a family of sharecroppers, moves to West Dallas, Texas.
1926
At the tender age of 16, Bonnie marries her sweetheart, Roy Thornton.
October 29, 1929
Wall street crashes, sending America into the Great Depression and economic hardship; Clyde, with his brother, Buck and friend, Sidney, rob a garage in Denton, Texas and steal a safe after robbing a house in Henrietta, Texas, only hours before.
January 6, 1930
Bonnie and Clyde meet at a friend's house.
February 1930
Bonnie takes Clyde to meet her mother; Clyde spends the night at the Parker residence on the couch; the police become aware of Clyde's whereabouts at the Parker home and arrest him the next morning for the October 29 robbery. He is taken to the McClennan County jail.
March 8, 1930
At Clyde's urging, Bonnie, with the help of her cousin, Mary, breaks into a house and smuggles a gun to Clyde, which he uses to escape with two other inmates.
March 19,1930
Clyde is captured in Ohio and sentenced to 14 years at the Eastham Prison Farm.
1930-1932
Clyde is incarcerated at Eastham. While there, he is viciously beaten and sodomized on a daily basis by another prisoner. Conspiring with a friend who was serving a life sentence, Clyde kills the trustee in self-defense with a single blow to the head with a smuggled-in piece of pipe. The murder of the prisoner is never investigated and nobody is accused or charged with the murder; Clyde, hoping for a shorted work detail, mutilates his foot by convincing another prisoner to chop off two of his toes with an axe.
February 8, 1932
Due to the efforts of his mother, Clyde is paroled on good behavior and Clyde hobbles out of prison on crutches; Bonnie and Clyde meet up for the first time in 2 years. They will never part again.
March 22, 1932
The Barrow gang, Bonnie included, robs a store in Kaufman. Bonnie is arrested for the first and only time, but released after three months.
April 30, 1932
The Barrow gang robs a store in Hillsboro, Texas. John Bucher, the owner is killed by Raymond Hamilton, but Clyde is the only one identified.
August 5, 1932
The Barrow gang takes some time off to relax by going to an outdoor dance in Atoka, Oklahoma. When confronted by Sheriff Eugene Moor and C.G. Maxwell, the gang open fires, killing Moore and wounding Maxwell.
December 24, 1932
The Barrow gang (most likely, W.D. Jones) kill Doyle Johnson when he attempts to prevent them from stealing his car.
January 6, 1933
Fort Worth Deputy Sheriff Malcom Davis is killed in a confrontation with Bonnie and Clyde in Dallas.
April 1933
The Barrow gang rents a flat in Joplin, Missouri. Neighbors, suspicious of bootleggers, call the police. On the 13th of April, A shootout takes place between the Barrow gang and the police, killing officers Wesley Harriman and Harry McGinnis. Upon the searching of the house, Bonnie's famous poem and rolls of undeveloped film are discovered, giving police pictures of the infamous outlaws. These pictures are circulated in newspapers across the nation, giving people pictures to go with the names in the headlines.
June 10, 1933
Clyde, driving down a washed-out road near Wellington, Texas, overestimates his driving abilities and crashes the car in a deep ravine. Bonnie, trapped in the burning car, is severely burned, especially her right leg, and is never seen walking again without assistance.
July 19, 1933
The Barrow Gang rents a tourist cabin in Platte City, Missouri. Upon a neighbor's suspicion, the police are called and a shootout occurs. Buck Barrow is shot in the head and Blanche Barrow, his wife, is partially blinded by broken glass.
July 24, 1933
Recovering from their wounds, the Barrow gang camps out near Dexter, Iowa in an abandoned amusement park/campground. Suddenly, a large posse open fires. Clyde, carrying Bonnie over his shoulder, escapes, while Buck and Blanche are captured. Buck later dies under police custody on July 31. Blanche is imprisoned.
November 22, 1933
Bonnie and Clyde are ambushed by Dallas police while visiting their families, but escape with only minor wounds. They are both shot in the knees.
January 14, 1934
Bonnie and Clyde stage a prison raid at Eastham Prison Farm. One officer is killed and 5 prisoners escape, including Raymond Hamilton.
May 23, 1934
Frank Hamer and his posse, tipped off by Henry Methvin and his father, Iverson Methvin, set up an ambush and kill Bonnie and Clyde in Gibsland, Louisana. Bonnie is 23 years old and Clyde is 25. Ironically, Bonnie was shot 23 times and Clyde was shot 25 times.
